Rainy Day

These are obviously Arizona kids - they put on their swimsuits to go out and play when there is water falling from the sky and just assume it is a new 'water feature' between the swimming pool and the balcony. Heather even still plugs her nose . . .

Lazy Weekend

Wow - another fast weekend! The 3 oldest and I went to Garn and Mason Orthodontic's annual swim party on Friday night. Saturday flew by without much of the 'honey do' list getting done (but at least the list was made, right!?!) before Heather and I went to the Stake Daddy Daughter Luau - she was a great date! At least I did get mail from the last month read (thrown into the recycle bin) and the kids cleaned up the 'fort' in the game room. Toby and I went swimming to cool off for some 'garage time' (he loves hanging out in the garage and doing 'stuff' with me) but I can only survive so long in the summer in the garage. TJ was great help on Saturday, but was bummed we wouldn't let him go see GI Joe - they really need to make some PG movies for preteen boys. Susan was very happy (not really) that I took her picture as she was preparing for her solo trip to Walmart on Saturday morning. Of course, Julianna was just happy everyone stayed home for a whole day to play with her instead of going to work or school. Well, back at it for another week starting tomorrow morning!

Gone to Brazil!

My cousin, Michael, left for Brazil today to serve a 2 year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
We were excited to see him one last time on Sunday evening and wish him the best - the kids were also thrilled to have lots of yummy treats to eat and to be able to go on a ride in the mini with the top down since it was only 91 degrees outside (who knew that 91 degrees could feel like a 'cool' breeze!?!)

- Heather is giving me 'a look' and doesn't like to be bothered while reading. She uses the blanket next to her all of the time - it is one of my baby blankets made by my grandma.

- Toby is making a 'bridge' and is watching a movie on the portable dvd player. He likes to walk around the house and wherever he can find an outlet he plugs in the dvd player and starts watching just to be able to say that he watched a movie in that location. You'll also notice the book that Toby left on the living room coffee table: 'Nascar for Dummies'!

- TJ is showing off his flexibility and balance as well as his strength holding up the heavy pillow

- Julianna is scooting/crawling all over now and is doing a great job of posing for and smiling at the camera!

Family Swim

Susan and the kids have been consistently swimming every evening - it's great exercise and they cool off, too! I got Julianna a floatie from Leslie's Pool Supply yesterday, so now she can have even more fun and Susan can have more freedom - and of course the older kids ended up with another 'crazy wheel' to play on/fight over!
